posted May 13, 2010 First of all I really want to thank Daniel beard for the bad ass looking new headers on my website. Well we have been up and running for two race weekends with some pretty good results. For the first night at the grove, to end up third with a new car, new motor and new team I wasn’t really expecting, the car is a reverse arm car and I really thought it would take us some time to get adjusted but it was nice straight out the box, which really says a lot for the crew chief sonny kratzer who has done an exceptional job in such a short time frame, and as for the motors Brian Morrison has just built us 2 new ones and the first one is awesome. and were hoping to try the other one at the grove this weekend. To get that done in 6 weeks is unheard of and these are not sausage factory engines, Brian has put some major effort into these badboys But really I have to thank Brian Hall for the trust and commitment he has shown in me , he has put a major investment into this team, I mean its all new gear from the bolts to the tire sipers and trust me it’s a big commitment. Brian has been here for the last few weeks and he also brought David Hall and their help in getting this deal up and running has been invaluable I should have won Lincoln the second night out, but I just made a mistake and spun out running second with four laps to go , I didn’t know how the team would take it but they were all smiles because we were quick, so they kinda let me off the hook. I was lookin forward to Eldora, and it was typical Eldora. We kinda screwed up on tire choices, but two top tens felt pretty good with the outlaw boys and see what we can do next time. Im not looking forward to Darwin for aussie tittle who knows whats going to happen, as its usually one of the worst run shows of the year, and the prize money is worse than when I won in 03, but if you win it’s a pretty awesome feeling and I feel privileged to have won it. Unfortunately you wont see me or my brother on WSS this year, would have loved the opportunity to do it but we were not accepted, which is ironic, since outlaws have gone out of the way for our new team here and I know which series has the real racers in, you don’t see any empty trailers turn up partying because they had a crash the night before with the WOO boys, also Me and IAN won the last 3 races of the year on WSS hmmm. I figured out that in the last 8 months I have spent 5 weeks at home and that’s between Australia , California and out here in PA lookin forward to some time with my dogs(not complaining though) Well enough bitching I got a great car, motors ,crew chief and owners so lets see if I can pick up some trophies, pressure’s on!

posted Mar 31, 2010 First of all let me say how excited i am 2010 season, I am going to be driving for Brian Hall out of Albany WA Australia and although its all coming together fairly quickly im quite confident we will be strong straight out of the box. We have ordered new engines from Morrison racing engines, new cars from KPC chassis and basically all the equipment will be new, we have hired Sonny Kratzer as crew chief and he is currently building the cars and spares at his shop in fresno CA, in aboout 2 weeks i will pick up the hall transporter from North Dakota and Meet Sonny in fresno and that should give us about a week to get loaded up and sort out any other dramas, that im sure will present themselves on this short of a time frame. The plan is to start at the grove on april 30 for the 3 day all star show out in PA and then do as much outlaw races as possible, including all the big shows including kings royal, nationals, gold cup and the open at the grove and whatever else makes sense. I am also at the end of may going to jet back to Darwin Australia for 4 days for the aus title for the Kendick racing team . Kendick and i really got our stuff sorted out at the end of the aus season in aus so i feel we will be a good chance but anything can happen but it should be fun anyway. The week after that is the 3 day outlaw show in knoxville so will be a busy few weeks but to be able to fly in and out and drive for 2 very professional teams is an absolute privlage. The sad note to all this is that i am leaving Tony, Matt and all the guys at the 55 team, its been a great run and we have accomplished a lot, but the vermeer team wants to cutback and run knoxville and my heart really wants to compete with the outlaws. However were all still good mates, and i have found them a replacement that is as good and will be better than me so there in for a good time, and they are actually quite excited about there new driver I cannot mention the name yet, although its probably not to hard to figure out they dont even have to change the decals on the carbon fiber wing caps ha ha. As our due date gets closer i'll update the situation but for now looking good. Everyone involved is really pumped and i want to thank Brian ,David and Greg for this unbelievable opportunity and to have this backing in this economy is very lucky, Brian and David Hall will be here for the first 3 weeks of operation and i carn't tell how cool they are, there web site is www.hallsmotorsport.com.au so check it out So in a few weeks we will be warming up the engine gettin ready for hotlaps! Come on 2010, thank you, OH car number is 3 and colours are black, orange and blue Kerry Madsen

posted Oct 9, 2009 Been a while need my ass kicked for not being up to date, but here what's up lately. This year was a real wierd one after starting out in Florida on the outlaws with Sonny Kratzer i really thought it was going to be a great year but then the recession caught up with me and the team owner brought the team home, and wanted to cut way back and he had to let Sonny go which just sucked because i really believe we were gonna do some great things oh well. We main'ly stayed around knoxville and travelled when we could, did okay at knoxville missed four shows and still ran 6th in points with 1 win and picked up a win at spoon river and bellville as well, the bellville one was cool we won by half a lap from tmac, and the cushion moved up pretty high and i didnt lift for 30 laps. So me ian and matt were pretty proud of that one, but what was crazy was we hurt all the valves in the motor that night and torched one of the new winters small rearends as well expensive win! Kings Royal was awesome first night ended 4th but being out last to qualify second night wasn't good, track got real slow and that just screwed the whole night we ran 5th in B missing transfer by an inch but that was it game over Nationals i dont want to even talk about, broke my ankle playin softball that week and we just choked racing pretty much, we had one motor left but it was wore out and every thing just went down hill from there, always next year i guess! Really looking foward to driving for Kendrick in australia this year should be fun, be in WA for 2 months before we hit east coast so should give us time to be prepared for all australia's big races Not sure what i am gonna do in US next year but i am pretty desperate to do as much outlaw stuff as possible, i have run goodyears for 3 years, and now that everyone else is on them im thinkin i might have a slight advantage but who knows, but the flat wing deal this year effected everybody so lets see what the tire deal does Thats about it thanks Kerry |
